Montreal:A Pilgrimage of Play

Kaci | July 21, 2008 | 5:45 am

As the the birth place of Cirque du Soleil, there was a lot of Montreal hype and I have to say that this town lives up to its reputation. On Sunday we attended a really wild drum circle, the Tam Tams. This event is like nothing you’ve ever seen. Imagine drumming, juggling, dancing, flipping, jumping, throwing, singing, and every other kind of creative expression all to the beat of a hundred drums. It was amazing and awesome and the perfect place to pick up some new tricks.

Art photagrapher, Pierre Desrosiers, got some really great shots of us performing which are posted on the Montreal Tam Tam website.

Montreal was an amazing part of our tour and I look forward to training here next summer. It was nice to be around so many people that wanted to play, share and learn; and also very convenient that dozens of festivals are hosted in Montreal during the summer and everyone is having a great time. I can’t say enough about Montreal’s awesomeness.

We have a million pictures of all the craziness. Check them out at Montreal Tam Tam Photos.
