AcroEntertainment Performing with Maximus Circus

Maximus Circus is the greatest show of the future empire. It’s where Ancient Rome meets Tron and light meets dark with the Triangle’s most outstanding fire, acrobatic and aerial artists. The debut show will be at Raleigh Wide Open on July 31, 2010.

For Maximus Circus, AcroEntertainment has connected local performers with the city of Raleigh, to create a magical evening of fantastic stunts, spontaneous happens, and extreme pyrotechnics. Along with Gamil Design and the Raleigh Convention Center, Kaci and Katie are proud to present downtown with Maximus Circus, a spectacular show featuring a collective of triangle-based performers and their innovative talents.

Rvalution — Richmond, Virginia

AcroEntertainment made a special guest appearance at The Hat Factory in Richmond, Virginia on June 29 for the 12th Rvalution: The Patriot Act. Over 1,500 people came out to experience the Rvalution! This week’s theme (that’s right, this party happens EVERY Tuesday) was “The Patriot Act,” complete with carnival games, red. white and blue glow sticks, DJ’s, live entertainment, apple pie and ice cream.

AcroEntertainment received a shout out on Triangle Arts and Entertainment, a news magazine devoted to visual and performing arts. Talking about the Band Together Michael Franti Concert, the article reports:

Electric Circus, June 5th at the Republic

Kaci and Katie will be among the roving performers at the Electric Circus, hosted at the Republic in Durham, this Saturday night starting at 8pm. Along with AcroEntertainment, the event will feature a bearded lady, hoopers, jugglers, contortionists, balloon twisters, dancing clowns and more! $5 suggested donation.

Performing with Michael Franti

AcroEntertainment recently performed at the Michael Franti and Spearhead outdoor concert at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, NC. The event was hosted by Band Together, a 100% volunteer driven non-profit that raises funds and awareness for select charities through events that showcase and support musical talent. In addition to a pre-show performance and exclusive (acro) entertainment for VIP—Kaci, Katie and friends had the wonderful opportunity to perform on-stage, alongside the one and only: Michael Franti.

On May 22, The Old Ceremony, Anoop Desai, One EskimO, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Holy Ghost Tent Revival played in front of a loyal crowd of 2,500 fans. Rain, did not dampen the spirits of music enthusiasts and community volunteers, who understood that this show was about much more than just the music. The headliner, Michael Franti, was extremely complimentary of Band Together and StepUP and took time to visit with volunteers from each program before the show.

Band Together raised over $300,000 for StepUp Ministries–a non-profit organization and interfaith community that partners with over 500 program participants each year in the shared goal of self-sufficiency (stable job, stable home, stable family). Theirs goals are accomplished through two-life giving programs: The StepUP Jobs Program and the StepUP Life Skills Program.
