The Spark of the Triangle
Katie | August 24, 2009 | 11:55 pmSparkCon is gearing up for it’s fourth year in downtown Raleigh. I consider this event one of Raleigh’s most unique, as it’s purely volunteer driven and follows an “open source” motto. Spoken so true on their website, SparkCon is a “creativity potluck,” a sharing of ideas, and an opportunity for the triangle’s aspiring and established artists to collaborate, show case, perform, create, teach, learn, and grow. SparkCon also bridges the gap between the community at large and the artistic community, inviting everyone to participate in classes, activities, shows, and performances. And best of all, it’s free (at least all the day time activities).
Acroentertainment is partnering with SparkCon for the second year in a row. We’re teaming up with danceSPARK, teaching our new class, “Kid’s Clowning” September 20th from 12:30-1:45 as well as our classic class “Introduction to Partner Balancing” on September 20th from 9:00-10:30. Find us downtown at 213 Fayetteville Street. Our classes are open to all ages and skill levels. We’ll also be doing a special performance to kick off the poetry slam. For more information about class specifics, check out danceSpark.
Hope to see you all there. Look for more announcements as the date gets closer.
