Shakori Hills, a grasroots festival in Pittsboro, kicked off Thursday and continues through the weekend. Shakori Hills is a family friendly event where artistic, creative folks gather to play music, dance, sing, and share ideas. Many talented musicians will be performing throughout the weekend, including Donna The Buffalo and Toubab Krewe. Check out the schedule. Offering workshops like yoga, African drumming, Fiddling, and Basket Weaving, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone! Shakori also focuses on sustainability and will be hosting a number of forums on environmental issues, covering topics like green building technology, regional natural resource capacity, and sustainability as a spiritual practice of love and reverance. Shakori supports many local vendors and continues to be one of the least commercial festivals around! If you’re free this weekend, grab your hula hoop, drum, or camping chair and come out. There’s a chance you’ll see acroentertainment wandering the grounds…

Strategically situated on the corner of Blount and Martin. Oh, downtown Raleigh…
We received a warm welcome from the group at the Cameron Village Library. The children were really enthusiastic about our performance! Thanks to all of you that were there!
